Your Role: Video Production Assistant (Casual)

As a Video Production Assistant at Global, you’ll play a key part in our vibrant production management team, helping bring our editorial, commercial, and podcast content to life.

As a Casual Video Production assistant at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

• Editorial, Commercial & Podcast Support (40%): Work alongside internal teams to support digital features, interviews, branded video content, and podcast production. You’ll help coordinate studio recordings, manage post-production schedules, and ensure smooth delivery across all formats.
• Production Admin & Logistics (35%): Assist the production management leads and coordinators with scheduling staff and resources for shoots, managing studio bookings, and ensuring all documentation including call sheets, risk assessments, and release forms are accurate and complete.
• Finance & Operations (25%): Help track budgets, raise purchase orders, and reconcile expenses to keep our production process smooth and cost-effective.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

• Supported multiple editorial, commercial, and podcast productions from planning to post.
• Built strong relationships with producers, editors, and studio teams.
• Managed documentation and resources for key video and podcast projects.
• Demonstrated your ability to juggle tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Contributed to a positive, collaborative production team.

What You’ll Need

• Experience: At least one professional production assistant credit on a video, TV, or podcast project, with a duration of at least one month or more.
• Time Management: Able to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines under pressure.
• Proactive Approach: You take initiative and stay ahead of what’s needed.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for smooth collaboration.
• Organisation: Detail-oriented and skilled at keeping things running on time
• Excel Proficiency: Confident using Excel to manage schedules and costs.
• Problem Solving: Quick thinker who’s calm under pressure.
• Team Player: Reliable, positive, and always ready to support your team.
