Position: Virtual Diabetes & Obesity Account Specialist

Location: UK Based (Remote)

Inizio Engage is proud to be supporting a leading pharmaceutical client in the recruitment of a Virtual Diabetes and Obesity Account Specialist. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially astute and digitally fluent sales professional to join a new project, working with a well-established diabetes and obesity portfolio.

In this fully virtual role, you will engage with HCPs across a defined region through remote, omnichannel interactions. You'll be responsible for driving prescribing behaviour and market share growth by delivering impactful, insight-driven conversations with primary and specialist care customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in virtual selling and a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape who is passionate about improving patient outcomes in diabetes and obesity care in South Africa private market.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver sales performance across a defined virtual territory in alignment with business objectives.

Engage primary care clinicians and other key stakeholders to grow usage and advocacy of the promoted diabetes portfolio.

Drive remote, personalised customer interactions using a range of digital tools and visual aids.

Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues across marketing, medical, and market access to develop and implement local strategies.

Gather customer and environmental insights to support account planning and resource prioritisation.

Maintain a strong understanding of the local healthcare environment and how it impacts treatment access and prescribing behaviour.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a pharmaceutical sales role, ideally with exposure to virtual or remote engagement.
Strong understanding of key account management, business planning, and omnichannel execution.
Excellent communication, fluent in English, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Familiarity with healthcare systems and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes in diabetes care.
Technologically confident, with experience using CRM systems and remote engagement platforms.

A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
