Description
We are looking for a full time Visualfiles Developer to work in a small specialist case management team.
We predominately handle defendant litigation claims for our Insurer Clients but have varied Visualfiles applications dealing with a wide-range of work. We need an experience developer to help support and further develop our mature applications and Visualfiles integrations.
You will be working directly with the CSG Systems & Technology and our Business Transformation & Change teams. You also collaborate closely with our lawyers and the wider business support teams to resolve problems and support our lawyer resolve claims effectively.
We are looking for x2 visualfiles developers on either a permanent or a fixed term contract basis and we offer flexible working arrangement as our team operates virtually across the UK.
What you will do?
The Case Management System (CMS) Development Team provides strategic and operational application development serving both internal and external clients of the firm.
As a member of this group the role holder will:
· Liaise with both technical and non-technical professionals to develop leading edge applications, specifically the firm's Visualfiles CMS.
· Develop and enhance Visualfiles in line with business requirements.
· Work on a variety of projects to specification and timescales.
· Provide 3rd Line Technical Support and knowledge transfer to a dedicated Application Support team.
· Occasionally use ASP.net with C# on Framework 3.0 and above.
· Occasionally use SQL Server to deliver database specific solutions (SQL 2012R2 and above)
· Integrate diverse systems built on different platforms.
· Handle confidential information in line with the firm’s data security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
· Complete development in line with the CSG Systems & Technology Quality Management System (QMS).
· Conduct Peer Reviews of development completed by colleagues.
· Liaise with dedicated Quality Assurance Engineers for QA Testing.
· Create and maintain User Stories using Azure DevOps, ensuring that ADO is always accurate and up to date.
· Provide estimates for user stories in the backlog.
· Deal proactively with support tickets, maintaining compliance with the firm's ISO27001 Incident Management requirements.
· Create necessary Change Management Documentation and follow correct procedure when implementing changes in Live/Production environments.
· Provide Technical support to a dedicated Application Support Team.
· Releases new functionality into Live/Production environments. This may be an evening or weekend activity for which overtime will be paid in accordance with the firm's overtime policy.
Who you are
The person we are looking for:
· Should be a competent Visualfiles developer, although competent Solcase developers with limited Visualfiles experience will also be considered if they present other attributes which suggest they are a good candidate for the role.
· Should ideally be competent with SQL and C# but again training can be provided if required for these areas, which are not essential because they sit outside of the core role of Visualfiles development.
· Will be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
· Will be capable of working autonomously, whilst understanding the point at which they need to seek guidance/approval from their line manager or a senior colleague within the team.
· Will be able to work as part of a team, liaising with peers on a daily basis and working collaboratively with other teams within the IT Department, particularly the QA and Applications Support teams and the CMS Document Specialists.
· Will be capable of providing support and technical guidance to junior members of the team.
· Will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Will enjoy problem solving and taking on challenging objectives and/or projects.
· Should be able to recommend technical design for enhancement to systems.
