What You’ll Do
As the Change & Problem Specialist you will sit within the Service Management function of ENOC which is responsible for the transition of projects/change into service. You will be responsible for managing operational changes that will affect or has the potential to affect live services. In addition you will have full responsibility of ensuring effective control and mitigation of risk to the security, availability, performance and impact on the business and more importantly maintaining our services. You will also be responsible for managing the resolution of Problems, reviewing problem trends and proactively taking actions to identify problems and remove errors for a department or business unit.
You will (Change):
- Lead, own and manage the Change Management process including developing change processes and procedures as required
- Develop implementation plans for complex requests for change. Evaluates risks to the integrity of service environment inherent in proposed implementations (including availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services impacted).
- Seek authority for those activities, reviews the effectiveness of change implementation, suggests improvement to organisational procedures governing change management.
- Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation of changes based on requests for change
- Oversee the day-to-day change activities, ensuring the Change process operates effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders, internal and external
- Be responsible for applying Change control procedures when managing change whilst ensuring governance is adhered to throughout the lifecycle of changes
- Investigates and reports on hazards and potential risk events within a specific function or business areas
You will (Problem):
- Introduce, maintain, and improve, an agreed Problem Management process
- Produce Problem Management reports and management information
- Identify trends and potential Problem sources (by reviewing Incident and Problem analyses)
- Prevent the replication of Problems across multiple systems
- Review the efficiency and effectiveness of the Problem control process
- Maintain an inventory of problems under analysis and their current progress and status
- Follow up on issues and progress with problem owners where necessary
- Identify resources needed to resolve problems
Who You Are
You will:
- Demonstrable experience of delivering effective change management in both operational and project / program environments
- Have evidence of an understanding of new technologies and their support issue
- Have experience of providing management information and data on IT services and systems
- Have broad industry experience in change management and is able to implement a successful change management process from zero to full maturity.
- Have risk management experience
- Have previous experience using ITSM toolsets
- Have eligibility for SC Clearance
- Have expert problem management skills gained within a telecom services environment
- Demonstrable ability to manipulate data and summarise complex reports to present to non-specialists
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex technical problems
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
