As a Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Just as importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your expertise through the Volkswagen Group manufacturer pathway, ensuring your career continues to grow with structured training and support.
Responsibilities
About The Role
- Diagnose, repair, and service Volkswagen Group vehicles
- Carry out road tests to ensure quality standards
- Handle and store vehicle parts correctly
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience throughout the service journey
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified – NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent (City & Guilds, BTEC)
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a technician role
- Prior use of manufacturer diagnostic equipment (training provided)
- Full valid driving licence
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
- Enthusiasm for personal development and progression through the Volkswagen Group manufacturer pathway

Required Criteria
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Great communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues
- Currently completing level 3 or fully qualified - NVQ Level 3 in relevant course or equivalent (e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC)
- It is essential that the person has at least 2 years’ experience working within a multi-brand or non-franchise environment either as an apprentice or time served technician
- Prior use of diagnostic equipment such as snap on or launch however full training will be provided
