This post is a secondment for 8 months due to maternity cover

We are seeking to appoint a confident, credible and inspirational Band 7, Ward Manager to work as a pivotal member of the Community Hospital team in providing effective leadership, delivering high quality care, service improvement and workforce development with the support of the Locality Matron.

Main duties of the job
Alltwen is a busy community hospital that has many different services working from within, including an inpatient ward, a busy minor injury unit, outpatients department and intravenous therapy suite.
Our inpatient ward is a busy and dynamic ward consisting of 20 inpatient beds which specialise in the rehabilitation of patients, care of the elderly and complex discharge planning. The nursing team are proactive, innovative and have a wealth of knowledge in this specialist area.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; applicants who speak both Welsh and / or English are welcome to apply
