We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Nurse with excellent leadership skills and relevant experience to join our team of Ward Managers within the Neurosciences Directorate.
Ward B8 is a 25 bedded emergency neurosurgical ward, part of the Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre at Salford Royal.
We are looking for a highly motivated nurse with shared values to join our Ward Manager team. This is a unique exciting opportunity to join a team with vision, drive and ambition. You will have extensive post registration experience and ideally nursing management experience. Previous experience working in the field of Neurosciences is desirable but not essential.
A passion for high quality care and continually improving patient and family experience is essential as are excellent interpersonal skills. We view leadership as key to our success; therefore you should be able to demonstrate this throughout the recruitment process.
You must be able to motivate staff to achieve high standards, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure that the aims of the organisation are achieved.
You will need to ensure that as well as providing clinical leadership, and taking responsibility for direct staff management and the running of the ward, you have the ability to meet deadlines and the skills and desire to manage care within budget.
You should also be politically aware, be able to create vision for the team, and influence change in the clinical area. In addition, the patients' needs will always be at the centre of any focus that you have.
You will also be expected to provide evidence of how your leadership skills have positively affected team dynamics and improved clinical standards within your current role.

Maintain and support the efficient use of physical and /or financial resources
