At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.
We are professionals with purpose, beating cancer every day. But we need to go much further and much faster. That’s why we’re looking for someone talented, someone who wants to develop their skills, someone like you.
Cancer Research currently has c.600 shops which have helped generate £134m towards the charity’s lifesaving research in 2023/24. Each of these stores relies on stock items generated by our National (NDC) and Regional Distribution Centres (RDC). Currently, we have multiple Regional Distribution Centres with plans to open more over the next 5 years as part of our Retail Growth Strategy.
Within our RDCs there are two teams: our Marketplace team, who sort and identify items for our online marketplace platforms, and our Warehouse Team, who sort, identify, label, and price c.10,000 quality donated Items per week for our shops and retail operations.
As a Warehouse Assistant Manager in our Warrington RDC, you will be the go-to person on the Warehouse floor, ensuring our day-to-day operations and workflows run efficiently and safely to meet the needs of our stores. This will involve line managing c.12 Warehouse Assistants with the support of the Warehouse Manager, while collaborating closely with the Online Marketplace Assistant Manager and Warehouse team to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded. You’ll also contribute to the continuous improvement of the RDC, using your experience and skills to make a positive impact on our operations and overall success.
If you're an experienced warehousing & logistics professional who has effectively supervised or led a warehouse team that processes a high volume of stock, we’d love for you to join our mission.
