Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Site Manager to join our team in Leeds, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our water treatment facility, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of water quality and safety.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of water treatment operations at the site
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise water treatment processes and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and water quality standards
- Oversee health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Manage and mentor a team of water treatment operators and technicians
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and operational forecasts
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and other stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies
- Respond to and resolve any water quality issues or emergencies promptly
- Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports on water quality and site operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in water management or a related field, with previous site management experience
- Proven expertise in water treatment processes and environmental regulations
- Strong knowledge of water quality standards and environmental compliance
- Proficiency in project management and team leadership
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Office and water management software
- Relevant water management certifications (e.g., Water Treatment Operator Certification)
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial aspects of site operations
- Experience in implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies
