We’re now seeking a skilled WordPress web developer and designer to support our continued growth by creating fast, user-friendly websites and landing pages that look great and convert well.
Role Overview:
This is a full-time, office-based role that covers both design and development. You’ll be responsible for building, updating, and optimising WordPress pages across the Clarity Homecare network.
You’ll work alongside our marketing team to design responsive layouts, manage templates, and ensure all sites are optimised for speed, accessibility, SEO, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design clean, accessible, and mobile-friendly layouts aligned with the Clarity brand
- Build and maintain WordPress sites using popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Oxygen, etc.)
- Create and manage templates for service pages, blog content, and lead generation forms
- Ensure websites are optimised for SEO, performance, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility
- Keep local office content and service details accurate and regularly updated
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve plugin conflicts, and perform general maintenance
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support PPC landing pages and conversion tracking
- Integrate basic tools like Google Tag Manager, analytics, and third-party forms or CRMs
- Manage staging environments and coordinate rollouts with other team members
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience with WordPress development and design
- Strong HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript skills
- Experience with multiple page builders — Eelementor / Spectra, WPBakery, Divi, Oxygen, or similar
- Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and theme customisation
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or similar design tools
- Good eye for layout, spacing, and mobile responsiveness
- Familiarity with on-page SEO, caching, and performance best practices
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Clear, friendly communicator who can work well both independently and with others
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with franchise or multi-location websites
- Knowledge of the care sector or similar service-based industries
- Understanding of schema markup and WCAG accessibility standards
- Experience with CRO tools or basic A/B testing setups
