The RUH’s external facing website is the digital front door of our organisation. It is a key external communications tool for representing the Trust’s brand, vision and strategy to our stakeholders. On average it gains 140,000 views a month and is a crucial source of information for the people we care for and the people in our community. This includes our patients and GPs and is an essential tool for anyone seeking employment at the Trust.
This role will support the website project team to deliver a new website for the RUH. This is a unique opportunity to work with the Strategy and Development and Communications teams at the RUH, working on an essential Trust wide project. This role is a great opportunity for to gain project experience. You will ideally be proactive, flexible and able to manage your time well. This role requires a high attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Delivery of this project will improve patient experience and safety through ensuring clinical information is up-to-date and regularly reviewed. It will also increase patient ‘self-service’ via the website and therefore reduce impact on staff from patients contacting teams directly for information.
Main duties of the job
Role
A large amount of this role will focus on the crucial task of content transfer to the new website, but there will also be other project-related tasks including but not limited to:
- Supporting the Website project manager with a range of project support duties, including updating project documentation and scheduling meetings
- Pro-actively engaging with the Strategy and Development and Communication teams, in team meetings and 1-1s
- Supporting the design requirements of the teams e.g. in the creation and formatting of posters, leaflets, PowerPoint presentations and other communications materials that are of a high and professional standard and in line with Trust guidelines
- Where required, analysing processes and providing recommendations for improvements and increased efficiencies – including digital solutions. This may include writing standard works to summarise processes
