Job Description

Wood is recruiting for the upcoming shutdown project at Sembcorp. As a Welder, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our energy infrastructure. Here’s what you need to know:

Responsibilities

Prime responsibilities and duties

Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the plating/structural workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.

Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.

Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches

Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.

Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner

Qualifications

Requirements and Skills:

To excel in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and abilities:

Education: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding

CCNSG Safety Passport

Pass a pre-employment medical

Welding Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to pass a weld test and medical

Experience: Relevant experience in welding and pipefitting.

Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to follow safety protocols.

Attention to Detail: Precise workmanship and thorough inspections.
