Description

The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible to accomplish the sales and brand objectives for Diptyque across the UK through all Wholesale locations. ( excluding Space NK).Working closely with Head of Sales for implementing the UK strategy agreed in the UK and global level with Paris.



DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business performance

  • Achieve UK sales (sell-out) and financial objectives (Contribution)
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue
  • Conduct effective and efficient store/counter visits ensuring that areas identified are actioned and constructive feedback is given
  • Work collaboratively with Department Store management to put in place common strategies to increase Diptyque market share.
  • Analyse and monitor store and individual KPI's to drive sales performance and productivity
  • Ensure store costs are successfully managed within budget, thereby maximizing store profitability
  • Ensure space productivity is monitored, analysed and amended to ensure optimum performance
  • Analyse sales by category/product, making recommendations for sales performance improvement to both Store Managers and Head of Sales
  • Work closely with store Department Store team on inventory levels and call outs, stock loss and BOH management
  • Work closely with Diptyque finance team on store/counter P&L by location to manage cost and profitability
  • Gather and analyze overall store trends and competitive ranking
  • Create and share regular reporting on store/counter performance and opportunities

Management

  • Manage and lead all store/counter teams (Inc. development, performance, incentive, adequate staffing) in partnership with Department store management
  • Help set annual targets and provide ongoing support and guidance
  • Lead, coach and motivate store/counter management and store teams by conducting yourself as a brand ambassador who offer the highest standards of luxury brand.
  • Lead & coach the team on of customer service through art of selling at Diptyque (Inspire, mystery shop (CXG))
  • Maintain daily communications with the stores

HR/People Aspect

  • Performance management of the store/counter team in a proactive and constructive manner
  • Identify team development needs and ensure that they are addressed in collaboration with Department Store management
  • Identify a regional succession plan ensuring that all development needs are identified and met in line with the plan
  • Ensure that staff across all stores/counter are effectively deployed to maximise customer service and operational effectiveness
  • Work with HR and Department store management for recruitment of all store/counter teams, ensuring that successful candidates fit the skills and experience required and are able to offer the highest standards of customer service, impartial product knowledge and sales techniques

Collaborate with Marketing functions

  • Work closely with VM Manager to ensure the highest standards of visual merchandising are maintained at all times
  • Work with Store/counter Managers to identify potential visual merchandising changes that will impact positively on store sales performance
  • Work with Marketing and Store/counter Managers to develop and implement a programme of promotional and customer events (CEX)
  • Work closely with marketing team to ensure service standard are met (CXG)
  • Work closely with Training manager to identify training needs and collaborate on the training plan
  • Work closely with Training manager to ensure the team has all the tools to be performing at the highest level

Deliver Luxury Service

  • Ensure the highest standards of luxury service are delivered at all times across all stores
  • Work with Store/counter Managers to identify and implement ways in which luxury service can be continuously improved
  • Gain feedback from customers and share information and recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure all customer complaints are handled quickly and courteously
