We are a team of Design Engineers who are a mixture of technical specialists and engineering leads and all passionate about finding technical solutions to support AIRBUS products, specifically A220 Wings. We have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience within our engineers who can help you grow technically and personally within this role.
We have a strategy which is strongly focused on continuous individual growth through in-role and classroom learning, cross-program experiences.
This role includes night shifts and therefore the person will be required to fulfil the shift requirement.
How Will You Contribute To The Team
- Act as the link between Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring co-design solutions which are suitable for the industrial system whilst maintaining an engineering and most important customer perspective
- Support the design definition and communicate the industrial requirements into the wider engineering community.
- Support the enablement of operations to achieve green quality gates throughout the industrial system by answering of Non-Conformances
- Provide proactive product improvement which supports modifications to reduce Recurring Costs, Non-Recurring Costs and Non-Conformances
- Provide ‘lineside’ build support and act as the focal point for any Engineering topics within the Wing Plant delivery teams including root cause analysis investigations into all abnormalities arising from design queries.
- Support initiatives to further enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through application of methods, tools, processes and/or other capability improvements
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and competences:
- Willingness to learn how to propose solutions and solve problems
- Knowledge and experience of metallic and composite structures
- Knowledge and experience of design toolsets
- Experience in supporting non-conformances / concessions is desirable
- Opportunity to develop IT skills associated with engineering activities
- Wing Structure knowledge would be advantageous
- Ability to analyse, propose and solve technical problems
- Ensure delivery of own tasks whilst adhering to time, cost and quality parameters
- Excellent communication skills and a drive to deliver customer value and quality
