have effective planning, organisational and IT skills and a high standard of personal, professional and ethical behaviour aswell as the capacity to work under pressure to meet guidelines, professional standards and organisational priorities.
Familiarity with policies and procedures which govern the role of manager aswell as the ability to supervise and support staff effectively are also essential.
Leadership experience within a Social Work or Social Care setting is desirable, as is knowledge of the wider public protection legislation, policy and practice that underpin multi agency protection work.
The post sits within Children's Services Social Work and requires close partnership working with Child Care and Justice Social Work teams, including occasional reciprocal management cover.
