BAE Systems Submarines are pleased to offer this work experience opportunity in our state of the art Submarines Academy for Skills and Knowledge, Barrow-in-Furness.
The experience will include an introduction to the business, introduction and insight into the Engineering function, a chance to discuss career paths with existing staff and apprentices, employability workshops and practical activities, along with university talks and a mock interview.
Engineering Entry Requirements
You must have already achieved: 5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) Including Maths, English & Science or Technical Subject
AND be on track to achieve by August 2026.
A minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 point old system)(excluding UCAS points gained at AS level) achieved from either:
– 3 A levels at grade C or above. One subject must be Maths and one subject must be in Engineering, Science or a Technical subject.
– A STEM based L3 Extended BTEC Diploma (which meets the required UCAS points) or equivalent (eg. T-Level)
