Job Description
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Workforce Planning CoE Director is responsible for defining and delivering the global workforce planning strategy for Alter Domus and aligning it to the firm’s commercial strategy and ambitious growth objectives. This important role oversees and governs the annual forward-demand planning process, linked to commercial outcomes and client satisfaction. Specifically, you will;
- Define and own the Global Workforce Planning strategy ensuring it links to wider strategic and commercial objectives.
- Deliver a workforce plan and roadmap to enable business and functional leaders to forward plan and anticipate future headcount demand with a focus on end-to-end process optimisation (from demand planning to full resource staffing)
- Drive adoption of new workforce planning processes (incl. time sheeting to aid measurement of utilization)
- Support select and manage relevant staffing tools and applications to further automate and streamline the process
- Track key performance metrics and deliver actionable insights to the business that support the upskilling and understanding of workforce planning across firm.
- Measure the success of the workforce planning process through KPI measurement and use this information to optimise and refine the process.
- Understand skill trends and use this to provide Business Unit insights when creating workforce plans
- Understand the commercial pipeline for new business, ensuring that workforce plans are linked to client satisfaction and adopting an agile, forward-looking approach to anticipating future business demands.
- Own the driver-based workforce planning model, process and technology solution, ensuring globally consistent application and adoption, utilizing data and insights to understand drivers behind contribution, utilization and productivity.
- Run the annual workforce planning cycle, ensuring strong governance and oversight
- Collaborate with Finance as well as other functions to engage and support Business Unit leaders to deliver robust workforce plans.
- Maintain a relentless focus on stakeholder engagement to drive a data-driven decision-making culture.
- Lead and develop a team of workforce analysts that will run day to day data and analysis tasks ensuring the consistent use of planning tools, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
- Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, and customers and other external stakeholders.
- Support the development and engagement of employees at all levels, actively promoting the Employer Value Proposition within all regional teams and role modelling the Alter Domus values to our people, clients and customers.
PROFILE
- You will have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in work force planning, preferably gained in financial or professional services.
- Experience working in/with complex matrix organisations with decentralized decision making processes
- You will be a strategic and conceptual thinker with deep technical expertise, you will possess strong analytical skills combined with the ability to deliver actionable insights.
- You will possess advanced Excel skills, combined with familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud, SuccessFactors and S4/H.
- You will have experience of the annual people/human capital cycle combined with an understanding of the people processes that underpin this – talent acquisition, learning and organisational design.
