We are seeking a Workplace Senior Business Development Manager to join our Workplace Specialist corporate pensions development team. The position involves supporting the expansion of our activities in the workplace market by increasing engagement with both new and existing partner firms.

Royal London maintains an established presence in the corporate pensions market, and this role will contribute to continued business development.

The Workplace Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving agreed new business targets from a panel of corporate-focused employee benefits firms, ensuring all regulatory and compliance obligations are met and aligning with corporate objectives.

This is a remote position requiring travel to various outlets of panelled firms as necessary.

 

About the role

 

  • Deliver personal sales target from a panel of corporate adviser firms
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with senior leaders and business influencers at the targeted firms
  • Deliver sales presentations to cover all business development opportunities including beauty parades to win new clients.
  • Take responsibility for all corporate pension tenders issued
  • Work in partnership with adviser firms to develop new client opportunities and ensure we deliver an excellent and professional service at all levels of the organisation
  • Host site visit events in collaboration with aligned colleagues
  • Plan and record all sales activity in line with agreed sales process standards
  • Work and collaborate with teams and colleagues to support the ongoing development of partner relationships and provide feedback into future proposition requirements, market demands and changes

 

About you

 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong positive business relationships with senior personnel
  • Excellent presentation skills in both face to face and virtual environments
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the workplace pensions and wider pensions market and competitor propositions
  • Proven track record of success in corporate pensions intermediary sales
  • Professional qualifications – QCF Level 4 
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team to deliver agreed objectives
  • Full driving license
