About The Role
We are seeking a Yard Maintenance Operative to join our team and help maintain the high standards expected at DFDS. This role requires someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Clean and maintain fleet trucks to ensure high presentation standards.
- Carry out basic DIY tasks and general site maintenance (grass cutting/weed control/litter picking).
- Keep bins and outdoor areas clean and free of rubbish.
- Handle day-to-day recycling tasks on site.
- Assist with the Express operation, including splitting down and loading products for delivery.
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
About You
You should have good all-round DIY skills and a solid understanding of IOSH Working Safely. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential and having a full UK Driving Licence is desirable. As this is a fast-paced environment, you must be able to manage a busy schedule, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines. A flexible and proactive approach to your work will be key to success in this role.
