The department is noted to be very friendly, and is constantly looking to develop and expand. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking registered pharmacy technician to take on the role of Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician within our inpatient/outpatient dispensaries.

Qualifications

Essential

• BTEC in pharmaceutical sciences and NVQ level 3 pharmacy services or equivalent qualification

Desirable

• Royal Pharmaceutical Society Registration

Knowledge and Awareness

Essential

• Understanding the need for confidentiality
• Completion of extended role checking technician procedure or Final accuracy checking
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Knowledge of Data Protection Act
• Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act

Desirable

• Concept of customer satisfaction
• Awareness of changes in the NHS
• Knowledge of stock control
