Level 2 Inspector NDT

Barnoldswick

Full Time / 3 shift pattern (Mornings/Afternoons/Nights)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NDT Inspector to join the Part 145 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) team in Barnoldswick. The team are focused on inspecting aircraft engine run components in accordance with regulatory requirements, engine manuals and company procedures.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Level 2 Inspector you will be working with a highly skilled team, completing FPI and visual inspection to ensure the continued airworthiness, safety and reliability of aircraft engines. There will be a strong emphasis on quality and procedural compliance throughout all stages of the inspection process. Furthermore, the successful candidate will need to apply the appropriate Health and Safety practice and maintain a safe environment at all times. Responsibilities also include:

  • Interpret and work to engine manual requirements, technical instructions, and written specifications to deliver a consistent, high-quality service
  • Conduct inspection operations on aircraft engine run components to establish if they meet the required standards, definitions, and specifications.
  • Participate in the continual review of processes within the business in the interest of continuous improvement and identifying best practices.
  • Have the ability to quality check own work and complete relevant documentation accurately.
  • Work within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to deadlines.

  • Essential Requirements

    • Qualification in accordance with EN 4179 / NAS 410
    • Level 2 Qualification in Liquid Penetrant Inspection
    • Trained under the control of NANDTB or BINDT.
    • Documented NDT Experience – Formal Training Hours and Experience Hours
    • Flexible to cover a variety of jobs within the team with often changing priorities.
    • Ability to learn new skills & jobs quickly

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience in Nadcap audits
    • Experience in MRO environments
    • Level 2 Qualification in Ultrasonic Inspection
