241556 Occupational Therapist

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Occupational Therapist on a permanent basis for our AHP team within the Galloway Community Hospital with in reach to Rhins home Team. The Occupational Therapy team provide not only inpatient rehabilitation but also community rehabilitation, either in the Occupational Therapy department or within people’s own homes.

You would be working within a well-established and very welcoming service. The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals.

Due to the ever changing health and social care climate, this post holder may be required in the future to work flexibly within the context of working regular weekends to provide a 6 or 7 days per week service. There is also a requirement to travel to different workplaces in response to service developments and future needs.

Interviews will be face to face as there will be a practical element to complete.

It is an exciting time to join our service as we are developing our frailty pathway within the acute and how this blends with the home teams approach. We have also recently developed a Amputee repatriation pathway directly to the Galloway Community Hospital which has be pivotal in allowing amputee rehab to happen closer to patient’s homes at an earlier stage.
