The NHS Lothian Psycho-Oncology Service is excited to be advertising this 0.4wte (14.4 hour) Band 8A Applied Psychology post on a 6-month fixed-term maternity leave cover basis (from June 2026), based in the Edinburgh Cancer Centre at the Western General Hospital. You will be supported by an established psycho-oncology colleague in this well-regarded service, working across both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings. This is an ideal opportunity for colleagues who are interested in gaining experience within a physical health psychology context. This service sits within the wider Clinical Health Psychology Service, which comprises over 25 clinicians working across 15 different specialities, with opportunities for networking and peer led therapy modality-specific supervision.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not

be affected.
