NHS LOTHIAN ACUTE
DEPARTMENT OF CANCER SERVICES
Oncology Outpatient Department, Edinburgh Cancer Centre
Deputy Charge Nurse
Band 6: 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, appropriately experienced and qualified nurse to work in Oncology/Haematology/Radiotherapy Outpatient Services Department.
The department is situated within the Edinburgh Cancer Centre and provides specialist oncology and haematology services to Lothian and for the South-East of Scotland. The department provides a high quality, safe and supportive environment to care for patients with oncological and haematological malignancies by meeting the identified physical and psycho-social needs.
The area also provides brachy therapy and radiotherapy for patients in the Southeast of Scotland and beyond. Approximately 350-400 patients attend the department daily - 200-250 for radiotherapy and the remainder to outpatient clinics.
The successful applicant will be supporting the Senior Charge Nurse to lead a knowledgeable and dynamic team of nurses in the delivery and high quality of care of patients.

This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service. Further information on what NHS Scotland Boards are required to do to check this as well as what your responsibilities include can be found in the further information for this vacancy.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
