Job Purpose
The Activities Co-ordinator works as part of the multidisciplinary team carrying out a range of activities identified from the individual care plan and ‘What matters to me ‘which will stimulate and engage the patient in non-care related activities. They may undertake clinical care tasks and other duties as delegated by and in support of a Registered Nurse.
Support and supervision is provided by the Registered Nurse.
In partnership with the Registered Nurse the Activities co-ordinator will review the patient’s individual care plan and will competently perform the necessary aspects holistic and personal care, within their scope of clinical practise, for the patient as per the individual care plan to a high standard, recording care delivery and reporting back to the Registered Nurse.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
