Key Responsibilities:
1. China PR & Media Relations
- Understand the China media landscape, and be able to draft a press release with suitable media angles from scratch in both English and Mandarin.
- Draft and translate media materials and press releases (English ↔ Mandarin) with quality.
- Prior experience in working in media/journalism is ideal, though not a must.
- Support media relations efforts, including pitching to Chinese media and handling follow-ups.
- Monitor media coverage and compile media reports.
2. Social Media Content Marketing
- Develope and create engaging content for clients’ Chinese social media platforms (incuding WeChat, RedNote) with quality and creativity, aligned with clients’ target and goals.
- Brainstorm and present creative content and campaign strategies that can generate excellent results.
- Proficiency in using Xiumi or similar software.
- Coordinate influencer campaigns, including end-to-end liaison with KOLs/KOCs, maintain and regularly update influencer databases.
3. Client Communications & Commercial Mindset
- Be able to manage specific tasks for each client efficiently and effectively – including delivering deliverables on time and with quality.
- Evidence of delivering KPI frameworks for campaigns exhibiting a strong understanding of campaign measurement.
- Recognise when to escalate issues which have commercial implications, and how to manage these situations with your Manager/Director.
- Focus on the outcomes and impact, not just the deliverables.
- Negotiate favourable rates with all third-party suppliers.
4. Administrative and Internal Coordination
- Conduct market and client research to support campaigns and business development.
- Prepare and write client activity reports on a timely basis, without much supervision or changes.
- Design basic marketing assets (e.g., e-posters, e-newsletters).
- Maintain and organise databases (media, influencers, guest lists).
- Provide general admin support to team members.
- Attend industry networking events to build relationships with influencers, media, and partners.
Skill Requirements:
- Fast learner with a proactive mindset
- Detail-oriented and highly organised
- Prior experience in the media/journalism sector is a priority, thought not a must
- Outstanding English and Chinese writing skills (samples required)
- Proficiency in office software for client-ready deliverables including Microsoft and alternative software for presentation and work automation
- A strong passion for the communication and consulting industry
- Basic skills in photo and video editing
- Native Mandarin speaker with fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in PR, media or digital marketing that related to China market
- Strong knowledge of Chinese social media platforms and marketing trends.
- Strong extensive knowledge with social media tools
Other Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the UK (No company sponsorship required)
- Ideally to work in the office two days a week in Central London
- To start as soon as possible
