Introduction to the Position
Our client has recently implemented Workday Financials and is setting up an Accounting department in Malta. They are looking for an Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting tasks and support the team as they adapt to Workday Financials. This role involves managing routine accounting activities and helping ensure the system is used effectively across the department.
Your Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting tasks: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist the team in using Workday Financials for accounting processes.
- Prepare financial reports and basic analysis for management.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Support audits and other compliance activities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Knowledge of ERP systems; Workday Financials experience is a plus.
- Understanding of accounting principles and Maltese regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Able to work in a team and take initiative.
