Introduction to the Position
Our client, based in Malta, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is looking to relocate and work in an international environment. The accounting team is fully based in Malta, and the company offers full relocation support for British citizens.
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes. The company operates using Workday Financials, so experience with this ERP system is essential. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative team while developing your expertise in a modern digital finance environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day accounting support across various financial functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Process transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Support internal and external audits as required
- Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and reporting
- Utilize Workday Financials effectively to perform daily accounting tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with exposure to Workday Financials
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
- Experience with day-to-day transactional accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to relocate to Malta; relocation support is provided for British citizens
- Strong communication skills in English
