As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative Finance team based in Dalry. This is a PART-TIME role, working 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

About the Team

Our Finance team spans multiple locations across Scotland, as well as offices in France and the US. The team includes qualified and part-qualified accountants alongside experienced transactional finance colleagues. We pride ourselves on being approachable, supportive and collaborative, with a strong focus on adding value to the wider business. With ongoing investment in our ERP systems, this is an exciting time to join a team committed to improving finance processes and business performance.

About the Role

Working closely with the Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll support the day-to-day operation of the purchase ledger and wider finance function. This role offers variety, responsibility and exposure to multiple areas of transactional finance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Registering, matching and filing supplier invoices
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues
  • Checking supplier statements and resolving queries
  • Creating and maintaining supplier records
  • Processing expense claims and company credit card administration
  • Supporting ad-hoc finance tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • GCSE / National 5 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident using standard office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A reliable, flexible and proactive approach

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND or degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Previous experience in a finance or office-based role
  • Experience dealing with suppliers or financial queries
