Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Senior to join our award-winning Architectural Practice and be based in our Bath Studio.

 

Working in our Finance Team and reporting into our Finance Manager, this role will be a great chance for you to bring your experience working in a similar role and work collaboratively across all areas of our Practice to support in the smooth running of our Financial processes. These include taking responsibility for sales and purchase ledgers and assisting with completion of month and year end procedures.

 

We are passionate about developing our employees so while we are looking for a minimum AAT Level 3, we would welcome anyone who would like to continue to study and develop further in their career and we would be able to support with further qualifications.

 

We are open to both full and part time applications and we operate a hybrid working policy where you are able to work 2 days a week from home following successful completion of your probation period.


Salary - £28,000 - £33,000 FTE depending on experience.


Areas of responsibility


Sales Ledger

  • Assist with the raising of sales invoices.
  • Ensure sales invoices are entered onto the accounting software and perform reconciliations.


Purchase Ledger

  • Enter supplier invoices onto the accounting software and process payments.
  • Process staff and partner expenses including company credit card transactions.


Banking

  • Process bank receipts and payments onto accounting and billing software.
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, including Petty cash and Credit Card accounts.


Nominal Ledger

  • Post nominal adjustments as required.
  • Assist with the production of accurate monthly Sage TB / P&L / BS for all group companies.


Other

  • Finalise Timesheets with assistance from Project Coordinator and Partners.
  • Provide resilience and support to other members of the finance team, including the resource co-ordinator, as required.


About you


  • Minimum AAT Level 3
  • Relevant previous experience in a similar role as Accounts Senior, Assistant Accountant or equivalent
  • Excellent numerical skills with high levels of accuracy
  • Strong eye for detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 is desirable but not essential
