Our students aged 9-24 explore their passions, challenge their thinking, and immerse themselves in academic traditions across multiple prestigious locations in Oxford, Cambridge and top boarding schools. As an Activity Leader, youll play a vital role in creating a lively, safe, and memorable summer experience for our students. Youll bring energy and enthusiasm to every session, helping students build friendships, discover new interests, and make the most of their time outside the classroom. From leading games and workshops to supporting trips and social events, youll be at the heart of the programmes success.

Dates

Course dates between the start of July and mid-August 2026

Pay details

£577.16 per week (£515 weekly pay + accrued holiday pay, paid in the final payroll)

Saturday to Saturday, up to 40 hours per week on a shift pattern

Main duties

  • Student engagement: Build rapport with students and encourage participation in activities, creating an atmosphere of fun, curiosity, and belonging.
  • Activity programme: Support and execute a wide range of social, cultural, and recreational activities, both on site and during trips.
  • Welfare and safety: Ensure the wellbeing, discipline, and safeguarding of students during activities, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with fellow Activity Leaders, the welfare team, and senior staff to ensure smooth handovers and cohesive student experiences.
  • Logistics: Support the smooth running of the daily programme, making sure students are in the right place at the right time and that activities run safely and to schedule.
  • Team culture: Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative working environment across all teams on site.

  • About you

    Youre an outgoing and enthusiastic communicator who enjoys working with young people, bringing energy and positivity to every interaction. A proactive team player, you motivate and inspire others while creating a warm, inclusive environment and helping each day run smoothly.

    Essential

    • Experience of working effectively in a team.
    • Clear evidence of a can-do attitude.
    • Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • Live in or within commutable distance from one of our course locations: Oxford, Cambridge or Harrow, to ensure availability for early and late shifts.
    • Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role).

    Desirable

    • Adaptable and proactive.
  • Experience supporting and working with young people in a summer school setting or youth organisation.
  • Familiarity with our course locations: Oxford, Cambridge or Harrow.
