You will work and leading a team providing a comprehensive and flexible administrative support among our sub specialty teams. The work is challenging and varied providing high quality admin support for consultants and their teams.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to join our friendly Booking Coordinator Team, who are committed to delivering a high quality service and providing the very best standard of care for our patients. You will have attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your own work to meet deadlines.We actively encourage personal development and access to training. Qualifications

Essential

• NVQ2 in customer services or Medical administration or equivalent experience
• Good level of general education, including a minimum of GCSE English at C grade or equivalent

Desirable

• ECDL
• NVQ 3 in Customer Service or other relevant subject matter

Experience

Essential

• Previous experience of working in a customer service environment as part of a team as well as in isolation
• Experience of dealing with a range of information and accurate data entry
• Ability to deal effectively with a range of 'customers' including patients, clinical and managerial staff
• Evidence of handling difficult circumstances, eg customer complaints

Desirable

• Knowledge of outpatient, inpatient or diagnostic booking and scheduling processes in PAS and/or other relevant systems

Skills

Essential

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good speed/accuracy level of keyboard skills
• IT skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively

Desirable

• Organisational ability
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Knowledge

Essential

• Knowledge of a range of secretarial procedures
• Knowledge of Information Governance and data protection with regard to respect for confidential information
