Acute Recovery Team Nurse Secondment - Neuromodulation Service

12 months secondment - Band 5

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Nurse to join our busy clinic team within the Directorate of Mental Health. The post is based at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit within the Neuromodulation Service and the successful candidate will work alongside the existing team.

This is a full-time secondment post and the hours of work are 08:00 16:00 Monday to Friday. (Please also note that while this job role is a secondment (fixed term), this post may become permanent)

We welcome applicants who are Registered Psychiatric Nurses or Dual Qualified Nurses.

The Role

The role will be helping to run our busy clinics and assist in the ongoing development of our service.

The successful candidate would be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and be organised with excellent communication skills.

We recognise that applicants may be unfamiliar with our service so full support and training will be provided.

We also operate our service at satellite clinics within Leicestershire and the successful applicant will be expected to participate in these.

The team consists of 13 staff with admin support and a peer support worker.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)

As an Acute Recovery Team Nurse, you will have the opportunity to develop your practice to function within a specialist clinic service, access to national training and the opportunity to work with our UHL colleagues (ECT clinic)

You will attend regular meetings with regional ECT staff to develop the nurse role within ECT, the opportunity to develop and attend regional meetings for rTMS and attendance at national conferences.

  • Olanzapine clinic
  • rTMS clinic
  • ECG clinic
