Administration Assistant (Commercial Litigation)

A great opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our Commercial Litigation department in Leeds. You'll be supporting a busy team of fee earners based in Leeds and Manchester to deliver an exceptional service to our clients. Your role will involve document preparation, copy/audio typing and diary management together with various other administrative duties.

What will I be doing

• Liaising with clients on new matters to obtain instructions and ensure all required money laundering documentation is completed in line with SRA requirements.
• Undertaking conflict checks under supervision, opening new files promptly, and creating and maintaining accurate client and matter records.
• Preparing and issuing monthly bills, assisting with billing processes, and carrying out initial credit control, liaising with our Finance team and fee earners/partners where necessary.
• Preparing expenses claims, financial reports for partners using internal systems, and obtaining asset and tracing reports from third-party providers under supervision.
• Drafting and preparing documents and forms using precedents as directed, producing accurate typed material, and compiling electronic bundles.

You'll have

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and good all-round IT skills
• The ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, and manage your time effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• The ability to adapt your style, be proactive, and effectively solve problems.
• Previous work experience within Commercial Litigation would be advantageous but not essential.
