Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to support Professor Matt Gaunt and his 25+ research group. Also, to support the CDT Programme for which Professor Gaunt is the Director, that is currently running in the department.

The role will involve complex diary management, circulating and responding to frequently urgent information, complex travel arrangements, handling expense claims, arranging meetings, preparing documents, letters and reports, liaison with the Department, University and external stakeholders, dealing with the annual Research Fish submission, monitoring grant expenditure against budgets, updating the course website as required and providing full administrative assistance.

The successful candidate will be educated to HND level or have the equivalent level of practical experience. With excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, they will have the ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels, be highly competent in Microsoft Office, good time management and have the ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload.

This role is suitable for a minimum of 25 hours per week up to full time, days and hours to be worked will be negotiable on appointment if part time is preferred. However there is an expectation the successful candidate will work in the department for a minimum of 4 days a week.
