The successful applicant will undertake the Trainee Advanced Practitioners programme, which is a structured training while remaining embedded in your existing clinical team. The role includes:
- Clinical Practice: Developing enhanced assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills to support safe, evidence-based care across the maternity pathway.
- Leadership & Management: Supporting quality improvement, service development and contributing to strategic priorities.
- Education: Participating in teaching, supporting colleagues’ learning, and acting as a positive role model.
- Research: Engaging with evidence-based practice, critical enquiry, and contributing to the development of maternity knowledge.
Your role will be integral to the patient journey from outpatient assessment to ongoing acute care for pregnant people.
The post holder will work as a highly skilled and experienced autonomous practitioner across the Maternity services as part of a well-established specialist multidisciplinary and multi-agency team. You will be managing and supporting a broad range of complex maternity patient cases and be part of the MDT planning care pathways, follow-up and acute care.
