The London Spinal Cord Injury Centre is looking for a dynamic person who is interested in promoting reintegration for newly injured patients. Applicants will need extensive experience working in the field of rehabilitation. The role involves working with patients on the ward, in therapies and in a community setting. The post holder will need to be flexible in their working hours to ensure patients are offer reintegration activities that accommodate their individuals needs.
To participate in the care, rehabilitation, reintegration and discharge of patients with spinal cord injury and those with associated complex needs. In conjunction with other members of the Multi-Disciplinary team. Promote and encourage social reintegration for spinal cord injury patients through sports, leisure and activities of daily living. Ensure continuity of appropriate care for spinal cord injury patients who are being discharged, through close liaison and handover of care needs to patients, families, and relevant community professionals. Deliver appropriate education and discharge preparation of patients, to themselves, their relatives and community professionals.
