Working hours: 36 Hours per week (Fully Flexible Working Week)
Salary: Up to £35,000

The role
The Advanced Assembly Technician at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) will play a crucial role in the precision assembly of complex components and systems. The successful candidate will work on high-tech manufacturing projects, contributing to the development of innovative products and technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of advanced assembly techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work with sophisticated tools and equipment.

The role
The Advanced Assembly Technician at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) will play a crucial role in the precision assembly of complex components and systems. The successful candidate will work on high-tech manufacturing projects, contributing to the development of innovative products and technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of advanced assembly techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work with sophisticated tools and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Precision Assembly:
- Perform complex and precise assembly tasks, including the integration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in a similar assembly role.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly
- Experience in electrical/electronics
- Manual machining capabilities
- Strong hands-on experience with advanced assembly tools and Equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma Methodologies.
- Certifications in advanced assembly techniques or related areas.
