Sheffield City Council is seeking a proactive, people‑focused Advertising and Sponsorship Officer to join our Communications Team on a 12‑month interim contract. This is a varied, self‑driven role that blends stakeholder management, sales, marketing, policy, relationship‑building and strategic thinking, offering the chance to create real impact across our city.

About the role
As Advertising and Sponsorship Officer, you’ll generate revenue across a unique estate. Multiple platforms including our website, intranet, social media, bulk email, outdoor media, publications and filming opportunities. You’ll build strong internal and external relationships, identify new commercial opportunities, and ensure activity aligns with policy, procurement and Council priorities.
The role combines daily relationship management with longer‑term planning and strategy. You’ll thrive here if you enjoy autonomy, variety and turning opportunities into results.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
