We make health happen:

At Bupa, we help people live longer, healthier, happier lives — and make a better world.

As an Agile Coach, you’ll play a key role in shaping an agile culture across UK Insurance. You’ll guide teams through new ways of working, helping them collaborate effectively, deliver change more smoothly and unlock better outcomes for our customers, colleagues and organisation.

You’ll bring energy, curiosity and practical expertise to support teams as they adopt, mature and thrive with agile practices. You’ll join a small community of Agile Coaches who champion agility, psychological safety, continuous improvement and empowered teams.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Train, coach and mentor teams to understand and use agile ways of working confidently.
  • Support the mobilisation of new agile delivery teams within Value Streams, Agile Missions and other change initiatives.
  • Help teams collaborate effectively, improve their delivery rhythm and use data to support continuous improvement.
  • Deliver agile training across UKI and maintain clear, accessible agile learning materials.
  • Build strong communities of practice, bringing people together to learn, share and experiment.
  • Champion agile thinking, principles and behaviours — inspiring teams to be curious, brave and customer‑focused.
  • Support teams to become increasingly self‑organising, resilient and empowered.
  • Promote psychological safety and a coaching culture where people feel confident to contribute and grow.
  • Stay hands‑on and adaptable — doing what’s needed to help agile initiatives succeed.
  • Role‑model Bupa’s values and help build an environment where teams can deliver great outcomes.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • 5+ years’ experience coaching agile teams, including product teams, with a strong track record of helping groups mature and deliver effectively is essential.
  • Experience coaching agile at scale — working across multiple teams, portfolios and enterprise‑level environments is essential.
  • Practical experience implementing product ways of working and supporting teams as they adopt product‑led operating models is essential.
  • Agile coaching or Scrum Master certifications is essential and a recognised scaled‑agile qualification such as SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or another accredited agile‑at‑scale certification is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting product operating models and contributing to product‑led change is desirable.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and psychological safety quickly.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable leading sessions for different audiences.
  • Adaptable in style — able to tailor coaching approaches to the needs and maturity of each team.
  • Curious and proactive problem‑solver who seeks out root causes and helps teams improve continuously.
  • Positive, energetic and enthusiastic — a motivating presence and advocate for agile ways of working.
  • A confident, approachable communicator who models Bupa’s values.
