AI Adoption Consultant (Contract) - £700 - £800 - Outside IR35 - 4 Day's per week

London - 1 day per week in office


A rapidly growing HealthTech organisation is seeking an experienced AI Adoption Consultant to accelerate the safe, effective, and impactful use of AI across its teams.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven business using advanced technology and data to transform healthcare delivery, research, and patient outcomes at scale.


Contract Details

  • 6–9 month contract
  • 3–4 days per week (flexible)
  • Hybrid working with regular in-person collaboration in London
  • Approx. 1 day per week in a central London office


The Role

The AI Adoption Consultant will play a key role in advancing organisational understanding, adoption, and governance of AI tools. Acting as both an individual contributor and cross-functional coordinator, this role will enable teams to identify high-value use cases, deploy solutions responsibly, and build long-term internal capability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams across the organisation to identify and demonstrate AI-driven improvements to workflows and operations
  • Define and implement safe usage guardrails for emerging AI systems (e.g. agentic coding tools), including sandboxing and containerisation approaches
  • Design and deliver training, workshops, and experimentation initiatives to build AI capability across technical and non-technical teams
  • Support legal, security, and data protection teams in assessing risks and data flows associated with AI-enabled tools
  • Contribute to the organisation’s AI strategy and adoption roadmap
  • Collaborate with people and culture teams to evaluate and roll out AI learning programmes
  • Support internal innovation initiatives such as AI hackathons and pilot programmes


Skills & Experience

  • AI Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic tools (e.g. modern coding agents)
  • Solution Development: Proven experience delivering AI pilots and scaling solutions, working with diverse stakeholders
  • Communication: Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences and coach teams effectively
  • Technical Background: Senior-level experience in software engineering, cloud platforms, and modern development practices (including containers and sandbox environments)
  • Security & Compliance: Experience operating in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, healthtech, fintech), with strong knowledge of data protection and AI risk management
  • Delivery: Self-sufficient, organised, and outcome-driven, with the ability to manage priorities and timelines
