Role – Senior Technology Architect (AI)
Location – Derby, UK
Business Unit – Manufacturing
Your role
• Defining architecture solutions with modernization initiatives and providing technical solutions leadership across multiple teams and enterprise programs.
• Design end-to-end DevOps blueprints covering build, release, monitoring, IaC, and security.
• Build and govern AI/LLM platforms with RAG, and set Python engineering standards for scalable, secure, and observable systems.
• Lead Python services for APIs (FastAPI), ETL/ELT & streaming (Pandas/PySpark/Event Hub/Kafka), and ML pipelines.
• Own AI/RAG platform and establish golden paths and accelerators: IaC modules (Terraform/Bicep), multi-stage YAML pipelines, service scaffolds, and policy bundles.

• Identification and mitigation of technical risks.
Required
• At least 15+ years of IT experience in total, in which at least 5+ years in similar Senior Technical Architect role.
• Good to have: Good understanding of Aerospace MRO industry domain.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management along with decision-making in complex environments.
• Candidate must have technical solutioning experience, multiple project delivery, people management and leadership skills.
• Extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
Core Technical Skills Required
• IaC: Terraform (preferred), Bicep, ARM; GitOps (Flux/Argo); Policy-as-Code (Azure Policy/OPA/Conftest)
• Models: Azure OpenAI (GPT-4/4o family), OSS (Llama/Mistral) via ONNX/Triton as needed.
• Orchestration: LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Prompt Flow; tools/agents; guardrails and safety policies.
• Search & Vectors: Azure AI Search, PostgreSQL + pgvector, Milvus, Pinecone; hybrid search + rerankers (bge/Cohere).
• Python 3.x, FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio; testing (pytest), typing (mypy), linting (ruff/black), packaging (Poetry).
