Overview

We’re supporting a global insurance organisation as they continue to build out a central Innovation & AI Practice. As part of this growth, they’re seeking an Innovation & AI Architect to sit within the Solution Architecture function and play a pivotal role in shaping, designing, and delivering AI-driven solutions across the business.

This is a senior, hands-on architecture role combining innovation, enterprise design, and practical delivery within a regulated insurance environment.

The Role

You’ll lead the research, architecture, and design of innovative AI solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and fellow architects across a global organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading research into emerging AI technologies and delivering PoCs
Designing enterprise-grade architectures leveraging Generative AI, Agentic AI, and LLMs
Creating reusable architectural patterns and standards for AI solutions
Supporting the identification and prioritisation of high-impact AI use cases
Providing architectural oversight and guidance to delivery teams

Contributing to AI governance, ethics, security, and compliance frameworks

Mentoring and upskilling architects and technical leads across the organisation

Ensuring alignment with wider IT, data, cyber security, and cloud strategies

About You

You’ll be an experienced architect with a strong grounding in enterprise environments and a genuine interest in turning AI innovation into scalable, real-world solutions.

Key experience includes:

Proven background in Solution / Enterprise Architecture
Hands-on experience designing and delivering AI solutions (GenAI, LLMs, Agentic AI)
Experience with no-code / low-code platforms (e.g. PowerApps)
Strong knowledge of AI frameworks (e.g. LangChain), RAG patterns, vector databases
Experience working within the insurance/ financial services industry (5+ years)
Strong cloud architecture experience
Comfortable operating in Agile delivery environments
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex ideas into practical outcomes
