Description
It's more than a job

When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.

‎

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, ensure full compliance with industry standards, and help maintain the highest levels of client satisfaction. If you thrive under pressure and enjoy solving complex logistical challenges, this position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise. Every action you take preserves shipment integrity across all temperature ranges — from controlled room temperature to deep frozen therapies — just as QuickSTAT delivers globally every day.

How you create impact

  • Processing consignment orders via email, phone, and our online booking tools — including routing, service classification, deadline management, and job creation.
  • Managing green light approval for consignments destined for non EU locations, ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining real time shipment visibility, urgently resolving issues such as customs delays, flight disruptions, PODs, and additional charges — reflecting the real time milestone tracking and temperature monitoring capabilities used across QuickSTAT’s global network. [quickstat.com]
  • Monitoring and actioning communications through shared mailboxes to ensure rapid, accurate client support.
  • Tracking and tracing shipments end to end, mirroring industry leading expectations for GPS tracking, airline feed visibility, and temperature sensor data. [quickstat.com]
  • Calculating and arranging temperature controlled packaging and logger requirements, safeguarding the stability of sensitive medical and biopharma shipments.
  • Ensuring full compliance with internal processes, GDP standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Collaborating with pricing, customer relationship, and key account teams to support quotations, bookings, and client inquiries.

  • What we would like you to bring

    • Experience in biopharma courier operations or related freight/logistics environments (import/export/warehouse/transport).
  • Strong customer service focus, with the ability to build trusting client relationships.
  • Solid understanding of global geography, time zones, and logistics milestones (COB/POD).
  • Knowledge of temperature controlled packaging, GDP guidelines, and pharmaceutical import/export regulations.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, teamwork, and pressure management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and decision making skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to lead or motivate colleagues when required.

  • What's in it for you

If you would like to become a valued member of our team, we will make sure that you’re rewarded for your commitment and expertise. You can join the contributory Kuehne+Nagel pension plan and enjoy our Route 2 Rewards scheme, which offers everything from discounts, benefit information, recognition and its own wellbeing centre. We care for our colleagues (and their immediate family) with our employee assistance programme providing access to 24/7 GP, legal and financial advice along with mental health counselling. All of this to help you live a happier and healthier life. As proud holders of the Gold Covenant, we are a forces-friendly employer who recognise the skills, expertise and value service leavers bring to our organisation.

    Who we are

Logistics shapes everyday life - from the goods we consume to the healthcare we rely on. At Kuehne+Nagel, your work goes beyond logistics; it enables both ordinary and special moments in the lives of people around the world.

As a global leader with a strong heritage and a vision to move the world forward, we offer a safe, stable environment where your career can make a real difference. Whether we help deliver life-saving medicines, develop sustainable transportation solutions or support our local communities, your career will contribute to more than you can imagine.
