What You’ll Be Doing

The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate transfer and alignment of aircraft maintenance information between the Maintenance Control System (MCS) and the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). This includes coordinating and cross-referencing maintenance activities, maintaining the integrity and completeness of aircraft configuration and maintenance records, and supporting configuration management and issue resolution. Working closely with maintenance team leaders, the individual will help ensure maintenance packages progress in line with the Statement of Work while collaborating with colleagues across BAE Systems, the RAF, Royal Navy and Lockheed Martin to deliver effective outcomes and maintain system accuracy.

Core Duties

  • Understanding of aircraft documentation and the importance of system of record integrity in support of continuing airworthiness
  • Understanding of the Part 145 maintenance concept and approach
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or Military equivalent apprenticeship / qualifications and/or time served practical experience within an aircraft maintenance organisation

The ALIS Data Management Team

In this role you will support the UK F-35 Maintenance Facility based at RAF Marham. Working in affiliation with a 5th Generation military aircraft, the only of its kind in the UK you will be the forefront of cutting-edge defence technology. As a part of the ALIS Data Management team you will be working closely with both the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as key customers.
