We are seeking an experienced Band 7 research nurse to take a senior clinical role delivering early-phase dementia trials within the NIHR Oxford Health Clinical Research Facility.
Working through the Alzheimer’s Society–funded UK Dementia Trials Network (UKDTN), you will combine hands-on research delivery with visible clinical leadership. You will lead and support a specialist research nursing team, work closely with investigators and sponsors, and ensure complex studies are delivered safely, ethically and to the highest standards.
A key part of the role is championing the experience of people living with dementia and their carers throughout the research journey.
This role is ideal for a confident registered nurse who values autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to make a tangible difference through research.

A key part of the role is maintaining high standards of participant care and experience, including direct clinical involvement in trial visits, assessments and monitoring, and acting as a consistent point of contact for participants and carers. You will apply sound clinical judgement, manage risk, and respond confidently to issues as they arise.
You will also play an outward‑facing role, building referral pathways, contributing to service development, and representing Oxford Health, the Alzheimer’s Society and UKDTN at local and national level. This role suits someone who is organised, resilient and collaborative, with strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality and safety, and a genuine motivation to improve outcomes for people living with dementia through research.
