Description

We Are Rosemont

For over 50 years, Rosemont Pharmaceuticals has been a trusted name in the development and manufacture of oral liquid medicines. With a portfolio of over 130 products — including 70 licensed medicines — we’re proud to support healthcare professionals and patients, especially those with swallowing difficulties.

Our purpose is clear: to improve patient outcomes through innovation in liquid formulations. We’re highly respected across the pharmaceutical industry and have played a key role in establishing best practices for dysphagia care.

Our mission is to create a globally connected, people-focused organisation where every individual is empowered to thrive and achieve their best. If you're passionate about making a meaningful impact to patients across the world and want to be part of a company with a strong heritage and ambitious vision, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As an Analytical Research & Development Scientist, you will play a key role in developing, validating and transferring robust analytical methods that ensure the quality, safety and stability of Rosemont’s liquid pharmaceutical products. Working independently across multiple projects, you’ll contribute critical scientific expertise that supports product development, regulatory submissions and ongoing improvements to analytical capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently develop, validate and transfer analytical methods — including dissolution methodologies — to characterise and release drug products, and assess storage stability.
  • Conduct physical and chemical testing on prototype formulations, ensuring full compliance with GLP and applicable GMP requirements.
  • Create, review and enhance product specifications, analytical methods and process documentation, identifying opportunities to adopt emerging technologies and best practice.
  • Prepare and review validation reports, COSHH assessments, SOPs/WRKs and scientific protocols; generate high‑quality data to support regulatory submissions (CTD Module 3) and regulatory RFIs.
  • Work within cross‑functional project teams, leading technical discussions, building strong interdepartmental relationships and maintaining awareness of scientific advancements.
  • Investigate and resolve moderately complex analytical issues, deviations and project challenges, maintaining accurate and compliant documentation throughout.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Degree in a laboratory‑based scientific discipline (or equivalent).
  • GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A–C (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience with a range of analytical instruments and software used for physical and chemical analysis.
  • Strong ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects and develop impactful testing plans.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to interpret data and prepare clear, insightful technical reports.
  • Proven ability to design, document and execute analytical testing or experiments of moderate complexity.
