Analytics Engineer

This is an exciting chance to join a growing data function during a major modernisation phase. You will take real ownership of dbt development, help shape a new data platform, and play a key role in building reliable, scalable analytics foundations.

They are a digital subscription business operating a two sided online marketplace with a strong global customer base. Data sits at the centre of their product and growth strategy, and they are currently developing a modern cloud based architecture. The data team has been expanding and now includes specialists across data engineering, analytics engineering and data science, creating a collaborative environment built for innovation.
The Role
You will
• Own and develop dbt models following best practice and internal standards
• Optimise and maintain dbt pipelines to ensure stable, high performing transformations
• Oversee releases into production and support robust governance
• Work closely with data engineering, data science and business stakeholders
• Contribute to maturing the data stack and improving how insights are delivered
• Support the development of medallion architecture and wider modelling strategy
• Play a key role in the onboarding and optimisation of a new Databricks environment
Your Skills and Experience
You will need
• Strong commercial experience working with dbt in a production setting
• Solid SQL skills and experience within a modern cloud data stack
• Proven ability to build, optimise and maintain analytics models
• Good understanding of data modelling concepts and Medallion style approaches
• Experience within a digital, online or web based business
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non technical teams
