We have an exciting opportunity for a AML Compliance Officer to join us in either Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham or Cardiff The AML Compliance Officer will work closely with the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), providing anti-money laundering (AML) support.
This is an exciting opportunity for an AML Compliance Officer to join the Risk & Compliance team. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of AML work. You will have a key part in ensuring the relevant legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to and everyone provides the highest standard of service. You will also be assisting the MLRO in ensuring compliance with our AML procedures and processes.
Experience of working within AML is essential, as is knowledge of AML and Sanctions regulations, financial crime and customer due diligence (CDD) requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review CDD checks, interpreting the results and providing appropriate guidance to the business
- Review and approve new customer CDD where required
- Determine the nature and level of CDD required in order to comply with AML Regulations
- Provide advice to the MLRO, Deputy MLRO and wider business on AML and other general CDD queries
- Undertake AML audits
- Keep up to date with key developments in money laundering legislation and regulation
- Monitor and deal with queries logged in the compliance portal, providing advice as required
- Assist in the management of the compliance monitoring programme, conducting periodic compliance audits
About You:
- A good understanding of the relevant AML regulations and Sanctions
- Experience of working in AML in a regulated legal environment
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a workload
- IT skills to include Microsoft packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- An understanding of the SRA’s Codes of Conduct and general compliance issues
