Caddick Construction is a family-owned business renowned for quality, integrity and innovation in the construction sector. We are seeking an Apprentice Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team at our Wakefield office and begin a rewarding career in the construction industry.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience supporting the estimating and commercial team on live project tenders. You will also work towards gaining a BSc or equivalent level 6 qualification. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will learn how to analyse drawings, specifications and tender documents to help determine project costs and support the preparation of competitive bids.
This apprenticeship will provide the opportunity to develop valuable technical, commercial and analytical skills while working towards a recognised qualification.

What You’ll Do
- Work with senior members of the estimating team to support the pricing of new project opportunities.
- Assist with analysing project drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Help prepare and issue subcontractor enquiries.
- Keen to learn and develop a career in construction.
- Organised with good timekeeping and attendance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak and write clearly.
- Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and data.
- Ability to follow instructions while also working independently when required.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
